Commerce Mood Without Merchandise
A product-selling page spends its early screens on atmosphere and brand narrative while hiding concrete products, prices, options, and buying actions.
Anti-patternsRecommended
Intent
Keep expressive commerce visually desirable without making the user search for what is sold or how to buy it.
Checks
- Reveal a concrete product and buying or subscription path by the first natural scroll.
- Show product names, prices or plans, meaningful variants or flavor details, and availability when relevant.
- Use generated atmosphere as support rather than a replacement for inspectable merchandise and buying states.
Warnings
- A cinematic page can be less useful than a generic storefront when it removes the merchandising spine.
Exceptions
- A pure brand campaign may delay commerce when selling is explicitly outside the requested outcome.
