Patterns

Generation Contract

Resolve the product thesis, audience feeling, content spine, assets, and constraints before generating visual directions.

Intent

Turn an underspecified UI prompt into a compact creative strategy without allowing subject labels or fashionable treatments to choose the aesthetic.

Checks

  • Identify the primary user outcome, audience feeling, and usage context.
  • Record the required content, strongest available subject evidence, and real asset constraints.
  • Name the existing or chosen design foundation without choosing a style from category labels alone.

Warnings

  • Do not expose a long design questionnaire when repository evidence can resolve the decisions.

Exceptions

  • A narrowly scoped visual fix may need only a one-line context read.
Patterns

Macrostructure First

Choose the page or screen structure and reading order before selecting component recipes or detailed styling.

Intent

Prevent component-first assembly from producing repetitive card grids and weak hierarchy that do not match the user workflow.

Checks

  • Select a macrostructure that matches the primary outcome.
  • Verify semantic and visual reading order before styling details.
  • Define how the structure recomposes at narrow widths.

Warnings

  • Do not choose a structure solely because it appears in a reference gallery.

Exceptions

  • A component-only task inherits the surrounding macrostructure.
