Image-First Asset Loop
When a page needs a memorable visual subject, create or select one focused asset and design around its composition.
PatternsContextual
Intent
Move beyond generic atmosphere by making imagery, crop, light, palette, and subject direction shape the layout before detailed styling.
Checks
- Define the asset role before generating or curating it.
- Use concrete subjects such as products, artifacts, places, materials, or output examples instead of generic ambience.
- Extract layout decisions from the image crop, light, palette, texture, and negative space.
- Make the primary subject dominate or deliberately tension its media crop instead of floating at icon scale inside nested frames.
- Keep must-inspect products, faces, labels, and silhouettes inside a crop-safe focal area at wide, short, and narrow aspect ratios.
- Do not present generated people, venues, sponsor walls, awards, or screenshots as real evidence.
Warnings
- Dropping a generated image into a finished generic template rarely improves the design.
Exceptions
- Strict UI components, dashboards, and text-first documentation may not need imagery.
