Design-system Coherence
Typography, spacing, color, icons, shape, surfaces, and interaction states follow one deliberate foundation.
Quality gatesRecommended
Intent
Prevent visual and behavioral drift caused by arbitrary values and mixed component systems.
Checks
- Scan the implementation for duplicate roles, arbitrary tokens, and mixed icon or component systems.
- For repeated metrics, labels, icons, and controls, declare the intended center, edge, baseline, or decimal alignment and inspect rendered geometry.
- Verify page gutter, section gap, panel inset, stack gap, and control gap are declared as distinct relationships and remain coherent after wrapping.
Warnings
- Consistency should not erase necessary hierarchy or state differences.
Exceptions
- A migration boundary may temporarily host two systems with explicit isolation.
